This sale is for the complete Sherlock Holmes, illustrated novels and 37 short stories. It is a limited-edition print of 100 copies, and this is the first edition/first printing. The ISBN is 978-1-77226-531-6, printed and supplied from InkLight in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and imported by Lightning Source UK LTD in Milton Keynes.

As can be seen from the photos, the book is in excellent condition; there are some issues which make this a rare find. Which again can be seen in the photographs.

The book and contents clearly show that this is meant to be the complete illustrated novels and 37 short stories. The novels are The Sign of Four, A Study in Scarlet, The Hound of the Baskervilles and The Valley of Fear. But the Contents clearly show all 4 novels and the 37 short stories, bringing the book's page count to 1195.

But this is not the case, as you can see the book only goes up to page 709, the case of the second stain, so missing 486 pages, which means it is missing the 4 main novels.

So, I can only assume that InkLight, for some reason, omitted the 4 novels, or they did not print them into the book, and failed to properly update the contents or check the book before sending it out to the shops for sale.

I am a fan of Sherlock Holmes, but without the 4 novels, it is lacking that bit extra. And this is a shame as this is an excellent copy of a Sherlock Holmes book.

This would make an ideal gift for any Sherlock fan or collector.

The missing 4 novels, clearly shown in the contents, are what's missing from this book and not the short stories, which make this book unique and rare. Hence the price
